My friend Goosey sent me this quote from Marianne Williamson the other day:
"The universe is wired with the electricity of God, and each of us is a lamp. It doesn't matter the size or shape of the lamp; it only matters that the lamp is plugged in. With every prayer, every thought of forgiveness, every meditation, every act of love, we plug in. The more of us who plug in, the more the darkness of the world will be cast from our midst. Today, let's all increase love's wattage!"
Love that. Love, love, love that.
Everyday, I work at plugging in.
I'm not the most patient person in the world, so I practice patience.
I have been known to hold a grudge, so I practice forgiveness.
I tend to be really, really hard on myself, so I practice forgiving myself.
And everyday, I feel a lightening, brightening up in my world. I hope it spills out into our big world.
For me, this act of plugging in is also about my creative journey, because I really do feel that I tap into my better self, my higher self when I'm creating. I feel energized during the process, and euphoric at a project's completion, especially when something as turned out even better than I imagined it. Bright, and light, and happy.
I listen to music in my studio, and love to sing (loudly) along, or have a little dance with Kipthewonderdog. But, other times, I'm quiet in my studio. Really in my zone. Inspired. In.Spired. Inspiration...I love what Dr. Wayne Dyer says about it:
"There is a voice in the Universe urging us to remember our purpose for being on this great Earth. This is the voice of inspiration, which is within each and every one of us."
I read his Daily Affirmations, well daily, and highly recommend them. Awesome little daily doses of good sense stuff.
All of this I carry in my heart. And I joyfully follow my heart wherever it leads. What do you hold in your heart today? What's your journey? How do you plug in?
