I find that the best way to beat the post-vacation blues is just to get my fanny into the studio and make something.
So, I've been dinkin' around with some bits of fabric, some odds and ends, pretty little baubles and bits.
I've started just putting them together in little fits and starts.
Makes me happy.
Oh. And about vacation. Will you indulge me? I must share a few photos. Just a few. I promise.
Yellowstone is one of the most spectacular places on earth. And one of the loveliest.
We were able to spend a lot of time in the park, and really saw just about all of it that you can see without hiking into the backcountry. (Would love to do that next time!)
Anyway.
It's beautiful.
And Yellowstone is not just about geysers and Old Faithful (although, those are pretty magnificent!).
There's wildlife...bison,
bald eagles (we saw two!),
elk (these two babies had mamas nearby...all of them eating clover and couldn't care less about all of us gawking and taking photos),
cute little squirrel-y critters that seem to pose for me,
and so much more.
There are craggy cliffs,
and beautiful alpine meadows.
Running rivers,
and wonderful lakes.
Even a a couple and their small wedding party, being married above a beautiful waterfall.
Of course, no trip to Yellowstone is complete without a visit to Old Faithful Inn.
I wrote postcards and watched Old Faithful blow from the deck.
We had sunshine,
thunder and lightning storms,
and a splendid rainbow.
Nature is bitchin'!

Nature is bitchin' funny girl!

That's a lotta inspiration in one post. I *need* to visit Yellowstone. I always hear wonderful things. I love your art. I came across your blog a few days ago, and I could really get lost here. It's gorgeous at every corner. :)

Great pictures, Tammy. Our family will be going to Yellowstone in Sept., we've never been. So excited! Love what you're doing in your studio, too.
